"80m2 WHERE THE HEAVEN BREAKS THE EARTH" is a complex work, the result of multiple readings at different levels that overlap creating a choir. A multidisciplinary project structured in three stages; past, present and future and presented in three formats; photography, video and performance.
 

The entire project,  , was presented at the seventh edition of the ArteOviedo Fair last October and is currently part of the collective "In any case, keep shooting" with Nando Argüelles Art Projects. (EXHIBITIONS see more>>>)

Its development began more than three months ago, went through many phases of production and concluded in a performance act, conceived as a closing, carried out during the course of the aforementioned Fair.
 

“Niké tes Samothrákes”, corresponds to the static record of the past, in a manipulated digital file format and presented as a triptych in which I appear stripped of my head as a universal individual, with a poetic visual language that winks at classicism; a woman like the winged victory that merges with the sky; a static record of the past in which a dialogue and encounter between the environment and the being develops poetically and metaphorically. Between my identity and my conscience: Search, encounter, surrender, fusion and final dissolution.

Between Heaven and Earth is man, the human being or “human animal”. His hand, his footprint, his memory. His capacity, his limitations, his dedication.
 

Your indifference.
 

I present myself as a solid image, an apparition out of nothing, seeking its individual identity linked to the landscape that surrounds it.
80m2 is, in any case, a meeting area. A cut surface, of reaches and collisions. The measure is determined by the size of a thin plastic with which I wrap my body creating an extension of myself that merges into the sky.
I experience this unfolded encounter, from within and from without, and transcend this physical barrier accepting the fusion and dissolution with the landscape.
 

In this way I unite with what surrounds me, destroying the limits that separate us (renouncing identity, renouncing the ego) and metaphorically transforming myself into an immeasurable being (in praise of an inordinate ego...)
I experience the poetic possibilities of this encounter, ego and environment (understood as a universe) and I experience the emotions that it provokes in me; freedom, greatness, infinity and lightness.
Finally I give up my individuality and merge with the landscape, I dissolve. The memory of the earth (Gaia, life, the universe, everything, TAO) absorbs everything and I disappear in a poetic act, self-engulfed in itself.
 

There is a transmutation of identities, from the environment as the point of origin, through the individual and his imprint (manifestation of the ego) and returning to a modified environment after fusion with the individual.
 

A reflection on hierarchies, identities, resistance, adaptation, development, dissolution, death and reunion. A reflection on alchemy and deep transformations.
I built this reflection from my being as the center and record of these changes of state. Thus, metaphorically, I walked a path from two points, dissociated, inside and outside, to conclude them in a single moment of reunion, surrender and dissolution.
 

This work is a poetic song that reflects on the manifestation of man in and on his environment, on his record and memory, on his lost and found identity. About his pretensions to greatness, his infinity and his finitude. A reflection dilated in time from an introspective and intimate perspective.
