The performance "Not Like This Dressed" is the origin of the entire project, a reflection with a great content of visual poetry in which stereotypes about the feminine, women, the non-functionality of clothing, going through the social, the absurd and wrong values. Structured through a live, abstract, gestural, passionate and explosive painting session in a large format. A poetic and artistic paradox.

In my desire to offer since the beginning of Nando Argüelles Art Projects, the different artistic aspects recognized as such and some more that I myself have taken to present and represent from this platform of art/artists/knowledge laboratory/cabinet and experimentation-
experience; on this occasion and after several years, he curated the first group show exclusively dedicated to photography.
This discipline, photography, always made me want to, so almost always I do find the 'artist-photos' that motivate and unite with the other different disciplines, and vice versa...
It is now when I invite 9 artist photographers for this group show and the presentation of the video of the artist Karina Zothner: '8Om2. Where the sky breaks the earth'
I understand the title to be very valid, because just like the artist who paints and is immediately pigeonholed if he belongs to a certain style, I think that the same thing does not happen to the artist-photographer and his works, in the vast majority of cases. ..and with this group show, I want to claim the importance, variety, work and readings and stories behind each 'shot' and what each work can bring us, if it is true that what they have in common is indisputably the gesture of 'shoot'.

Under the broad theme of 'Natural Sciences', a theme with which I personally feel very identified (I remember collecting lichens and mosses from the nearby Los Alcornocales Natural Park to
classify them, look for bone remains of different animals in the field, observe insects, their tours, their nests; preserve the wild plant that feeds the Monarch butterfly worm, locate shrew nests, observe different samples under the microscope (real abstractions), keep the 'shirts', of the snakes, etc..., yes, maybe a freak on the subject...😑, remains with which I have designed the presentation of the group show ( photo shot by Australian photographer Chris Ogle), as a still life...,experiences possible by living in a rural environment; the transformation of the plant and animal world in its different phases...as well as many other topics that I am passionate about and because it is about these dates, in which many artists also 'wake up from winter lethargy' and experience in some way a rebirth of expression... The possible, or non-self-destruction of any rational, irrational, vegetable animal life signature, etc... or self-destruction of thoughts-ideas, feelings, necessary to re-build, re-start... and begin again, if we have will, strength, courage, courage, sacrifice to re-born / be born again.
Self-destruction, self-reflection, it can mean poetic sensibility, it can mean empathy, it can mean hedonism, it can mean libertarianism, and it can mean poor judgment.
With this project and with these 6 artists who offer us 6 different points of view, some with the idea of 'pure' self-destruction and others, on the contrary, go further and with 'sacrifice', others re-start, re-build, re -they are born, everything depends on the individual and how they are interpreted, after all, everything is a spiral and in many cases they are life references.
