The meeting of the Complete Identity, the denied and the explicit, through a metaphorical action loaded with symbols.
A deep and intense introspective reflection articulated through emotion, painting in action and visual poetry.

This session was conceived as the closing of the multidisciplinary project  "80m2 WHERE THE SKY BREAKS THE EARTH", a poetic song about the manifestation of man in and on his environment, his claims to greatness, his record and memory , his identity lost. .
A complex project presented in three formats and with very specific timeframes; manipulated digital photography, Video Art and performance.
Each support is the anchor of the next.

In "El Encuentro con La Sombra" I find myself dissociated, a recurrent state that allows me to explore emotions, sensations and feelings that come together in an in situ learning. Viscerality as a tool and freedom as a resource allow me to observe myself in all my expressive potential.

Working on the Jungian philosophical foundations, I go through this dichotomy of the Being that longs for its reunion, that yearns for that communion between Being and Spirit, that fusion between the ideal and matter.

I find it very disturbing to witness my process, face what is denied and transcend it.
Thus, this performance is an act of catharsis, renunciation, dissolution and growth. Like an animal that abandons its shell because it is too small, I metaphorically abandon my Being by intervening with my image, stripping it of the limits and contours that supposedly define it.

This image was consciously created within another state of search and dissolution in several Happening sessions.
Prostrated, surrendered, surrendered... without a fight, accepting the dissolution of the ego and identity in order to allow the next stage of metamorphosis and liberation.

The elements that I use in the action, heavy stones that prevent me from moving freely, that I drag with all my effort, are a symbol of everything that we carry unnecessarily and that for some reason (fear) we refuse to leave. Within the liberation process there is a loophole or resistance, symbolically tied to my right hand, I am right-handed, which does not allow me to be absolutely free and requires me to make an "extra effort" of movements, explanation, assistance, resolution.

White, red, black. The light, the dense and the extreme. The being, the spirit and the animal drive.
